The popular online learning tools, Career Ready 101 and Keytrain are now optimized to work well on mobile devices. As these two resources are commonly offered at the Job Center locations along with dozens of local high schools, technical schools, and colleges throughout the Joplin/Four State Region, the mobile formatting means more job seekers and can participate more often with easier access.
Over the past several months, the ACT KeyTrain and ACT Career Ready 101 curricula, which were running on an Adobe® Flash®-based platform, have fully migrated to an HTML-based platform. This platform was developed in response to customer feedback and our desire to offer the best possible learning tools and outcomes.
The HTML platform is compatible with both desktop and mobile devices, allowing users more flexibility. The mobile-optimized interface adjusts content to any screen size, portrait or landscape, with no more “pinch to zoom” needed, though zoom is still available. The curriculum continues to be accessible 24/7, every day of the year. The ACT Soft Skills Suite was launched on the HTML platform from its inception.
ACT KeyTrain, the ACT Soft Skills Suite, and ACT Career Ready 101 all help users build the foundational job skills necessary for success at work. ACT KeyTrain, in particular, provides learners the opportunity to develop the skills assessed by ACT WorkKeys® and the skills necessary to attain the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate™ (ACT NCRC®), the industry-recognized skills credential.
