Signing ceremonies held Wednesday officially formalized the partnerships for Joplin’s new Advanced Training and Technology Center (JATTC). While sections of the center are currently open for the WIB and the business incubator, Crowder College will begin industry-driven training this August. The partnership consists of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Crowder College, and the Workforce Innovation Board. Federal Community Development Block Grants for disaster recovery through the City of Joplin paid for the acquisition, refurbishing, and equipment for the center. Wednesday’s ceremony featured remarks by Crowder president Dr. Jennifer Methvin, Chamber president Rob O’Brian, WIB director Jasen Jones, and Joplin Mayor Michael Seibert.
